Amber is also wearing a crop top and black jeans, a stereotypical teenage style when dressing for a party, and this may connect with our target audience. It also has connotations of popularity and shows that the clothing she is wearing is a way to fit in with teenage society. The pale pink top is juxtaposed with her black trousers and reflects that there is both light and dark to her character, which is revealed at the start as she is portrayed as being strong but also her feelings are hurt by Brad. The mid close up after she pushes her boyfriend out of he house, shows that she only concealing her feelings, this may connect to our younger audience as we see more teenager's trying to be brave in situations like this. More of Amber's character is revealed throughout the film and we see a darker side to her character. Popularity is portrayed as central in our opening, however during the whole film we would like to explore the view that popularity isn't 'everything', and the people around you should be appreciated rather brushed to the side, like Amber does, the audience has a false impression of Amber in the opening, and throughout the movie we see her true personality revealed as Brad is trying protect his reputation and to stop the recurring killing's.
I find it interesting how small details about the character was noted to portray an even maturer and braver image then originally set out to achieve, as well as the age group we set to portray was said.
